Darrin Dorn is a Boeing 737 Captain for Alaska Airlines, based in Anchorage, Alaska. He currently serves as ALPA’s Vice-Chairman of Security. Additionally, Darrin serves as a Subject Matter Expert on ALPA’s National Security Team focusing on individual crewmember safety and the Federal Flight Deck Officer Program.

Prior to his career in commercial aviation, Darrin served over twenty-five years in the U.S. Army as a Noncommissioned Officer, Warrant Officer, and Commissioned Officer. His enlisted time included 10 years in Special Operations where he was qualified and served in various Ranger and Special Forces operational assignments as a Senior Noncommissioned Officer. As Commissioned Officer, he was both a fixed-wing and rotary-wing rated Master aviator with service as an Aircraft Commander, Instructor Pilot, Operations Officer, and Commander.

In 2015, Darrin received the Presidential Volunteer Service Award, Lifetime Achievement, for his service to the FFDO Program.

Currently, Darrin resides in Wasilla, Alaska with his wife Angela, where they enjoying living in the last frontier.
