Jason Wallis is a law enforcement and security leader with over 27 years of experience. As Chief of Police at the Port of Portland, he has spearheaded innovative security operations, collaborating with federal agencies like the TSA, CBP, and FBI. Under his leadership, the Port of Portland Police Department achieved numerous successes, including the implementation of UAS detection equipment at PDX and significant contributions to bulk cash currency smuggling, human trafficking, and counter drug trafficking programs. Jason's expertise extends to his role as the National Law Enforcement Representative on the TSA Aviation Security Advisory Committee (ASAC), where he has influenced national security policies. He also served as District Three Director for the Oregon Association of Chiefs of Police (OACP) and as the past President of the Airport Law Enforcement Agencies Network (ALEAN), Jason has worked closely with the TSA National Explosive Detection Canine Program (NEDCP) at the national level, showcasing his dedication to enhancing security measures and fostering collaboration within the law enforcement community. Jason has provided congressional testimony to the Subcommittee on Transportation & Maritime Security, House Homeland Security Committee, regarding firearms at airport checkpoints in 2022.
