FBI Special Agent Dan Markley is part of the Washington Field Office Joint Terrorism Task Force. He has 20 years of experience working criminal and national security matters throughout the Intelligence Community.

His career began at the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) in Washington, DC. He was the Deputy Energy Attaché at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq from 2008-2009. As a FBI Special Agent, Dan first served in Pittsburgh, PA - where he conducted counterintelligence operations and investigations throughout the world and served as a special liaison to Pittsburgh companies and universities.
Dan is a member of the FBI Washington Field Office Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team, on which he is a certified FBI sniper. Dan is also a member of the FBI’s Rapid Deployment Team (RDT).

Currently, Dan is an Airport Liaison Agent assigned to Washington Dulles International Airport and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport where he and his team are primarily responsible for responding to and investigating incidents aboard aircraft. Dan also uses his national security and criminal investigative experience to help safeguard the airport community from terrorism, espionage, and other potential threats within the aviation domain.
