Dr. Tyler Brooks is the Director Civil Aviation Medicine (CAM) at Transport Canada (TC) Headquarters in Ottawa, Ontario. Dr. Brooks served 26 years in the Canadian Armed Forces as a pilot, flight surgeon, and aircraft accident investigator before joining Transport Canada in November 2018 as the CAM Senior Consultant for Policy and Standards. Dr. Brooks became the Director of CAM in 2020.

Dr. Brooks is trained in Family Medicine and completed the Diploma in Aviation Medicine at King's College London. Dr. Brooks also holds a Diploma in Aerospace Medicine from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
