Mr. Paul Fontaine serves as the Executive Director of the Transformative Technology Organization (TTO) under the Airspace Modernization Office (AMO). He provides strategic direction and executive oversight to nearly 600 federal employees working to identify the concepts and capabilities of emerging technologies that will advance aviation in the National Airspace System (NAS) of the future.

Mr. Fontaine’s team supports research and development from concept validation to prototyping of new capabilities that improve aviation system safety, capacity, and efficiency. In addition, TTO personnel apply systems engineering services to define NAS requirements and security standards, and conduct testing and evaluation of systems supporting air traffic modernization.

Mr. Fontaine has program management experience with both the FAA and the Department of Defense (DOD).
