Cyriel Kronenburg, VP Aviation Networks & UAS, uAvionix
Cyriel Kronenburg is the Vice President of Airports & ATM for uAvionix, heading up the expansion of its products and services to enhance airport and airspace safety for the major airports in the US and Government customers such as the FAA. He oversaw the rapid deployment of the Surface Awareness Initiative at FAA towers and the nationwide deployment of vehicle transponders for airport movement areas.
With over 30 years of experience in the aviation industry, Cyriel most recently served as the Vice President for Aviation Networks in uAvionix where he worked on large UAS detect & avoid solutions for enterprise customers. Prior to his career at uAvionix he was the Vice President for Aireon LLC, one of the first members of the Aireon Executive Team responsible for the commercial global deployment space-based ADS-B. He has worked in numerous operational, and executive aviation roles which include the International Air Transport Association, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Martinair and the Royal Dutch Airforce.
Cyriel holds licenses as an Air Traffic Controller, a Crewed Pilot, a remote Part 107 pilot and as a Flight Dispatcher, providing him with unique firsthand experience of the operational requirements for a broad segment of the aviation industry.
