Bryan Dvorak serves as the Acting Supervisory Air Marshal in Charge of the Law Enforcement Assessments Branch within the Transportation Security Administration’s Federal Air Marshal Service. In this role, he oversees teams responsible for assessing and addressing vulnerabilities related to man-portable air defense systems, unmanned aircraft systems, and physical security vulnerabilities affecting the transportation domain. He also provides leadership for the Aviation Program Unit, which supports drone operations, and the Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems Unit, which advances efforts to address emerging threats to airspace safety and security.
Mr. Dvorak previously served as the Federal Air Marshal Service liaison to TSA Legislative Affairs, where he supported congressional engagement, legislative strategy, and policy development on issues involving federal law enforcement, cybersecurity, aviation security, and Counter-UAS policy. His experience also includes supervisory and operational assignments in the San Francisco and Chicago Field Offices, where he supervised Federal Air Marshals, supported uniformed ground-based operations, and contributed to major national security and special event operations.
Throughout his career, Mr. Dvorak has provided in-flight security on more than 1,000 domestic and international missions and has supported transportation security efforts across multiple operational environments. His background combines frontline aviation security experience, policy development, vulnerability assessment, and emerging technology risk management, with a particular focus on protecting the transportation domain from evolving threats.
Mr. Dvorak holds a Master of Science in Information Security from Lewis University and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice: Law Enforcement from Winona State University, where he graduated cum laude. He is currently pursuing a second master’s degree through the Naval Postgraduate School’s Center for Homeland Defense and Security. Mr. Dvorak resides in the Washington, DC area with his wife, two sons, and dog.
