My name is Sy Pinkert. I'm a Captain for United Airlines, flying the Boeing 737, and I live in Denver, Colorado. I serve as ALPA's National Air Traffic Services Vice Chair and as the United MEC's ATS Coordinator. I represent pilots on datalink communications and air traffic procedures standards. My work includes an international committee developing the next generation of CPDLC and ADS-C datalink standards, the FAA's Data Communications Implementation Team, the PARC NAV Working Group, and Safety Risk Management panels.

Last year I missed Air Safety Forum due to my wife and I welcoming our daughter. We enjoy spending time in the mountains with our dog hiking in the summertime and skiing in the winter.
