With two decades of experience at United Airlines, Monica Frain is a seasoned aviation professional currently serving as Senior Manager of FSAP and Fatigue in Aviation Safety. She began her career in 2006 as a 737 First Officer, where she balanced flying with raising her children. Over the years, she has piloted and instructed on various aircraft, including the Boeing 737, Airbus 320, and Boeing 787.

In 2019, she transitioned to long-haul international flights on the 787, traveling to destinations such as Tokyo and Western Europe. Following the challenges of COVID-19, she returned to the 737 as a flight instructor and later became the Flight Manager for the Airbus fleet, supporting pilot training and evaluations. In 2021, she took on the role of Senior Manager for Aviate, overseeing the partnership strategy for United's pilot pathway program.

With her experience in flight operations and safety program management she hopes to continue to strengthen United's commitment to a strong safety culture.
