Captain AJ Berlotti currently serves as the Aviation Jumpseat Chair for the Air Line Pilots Association, Int’l Air Safety Organization. Since 2006, Captain Berlotti has been a dedicated pilot advocate serving in numerous positions. In addition to serving as the ASO Jumpseat Chair, Captain Berlotti has held roles as Jumpseat Council Vice Chair, Council Chair, and Jumpseat Chair at Alaska Airlines, always working to maintain PIC authority as well as unfettered access to the flight deck jumpseat for those authorized to utilize this benefit.
In addition, he has served as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and contributed his time to the Education, P2P, and Security Committees as well as serving as a FAST/JET Instructor. His dedication to ALPA pilots was recognized with a Presidential Citation in 2018 as well as the ASO Aviation Jumpseat Award in 2022.
Captain Berlotti is a graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and recently earned his MBA, cum laude, from the University of Dallas. His aviation career includes his time at Atlantic Southeast Airlines where he flew the EMB-120 and Alaska Airlines where he has flown the MD-80 and B-737 for the past 25 years.
